Great Customer Service & Incredible Food
CGE is the bomb! Pulled Pork, meatballs are to die for.
The most tender burnt ends I’ve ever eaten. Never had better sweet potato fries, either. FANTASTIC!
This place is fire.
The sausage is outstanding here. I haven’t found smoked sausage that I like as much as CGE’s. The portions are very good sized. The corned beef Cuban Friday special is amazing. Give them a try you won’t be sorry.
The chicken is amazing! And the sandwiches are huge! I have not had a bad meal! Employees are so nice.
Great customer service and incredible food! We just moved and now live 9 minutes away. We will be there very often!
We ordered a few pounds of brisket and turkey as take out for a tailgate party we were having at an SKC game. We were absolutely amazed by the quality of the brisket, and it might have been the best I have ever had. I highly recommend for either dine in, or carry out for an event like we did. Excellent job!
I first had CGE at a wedding and could not wait to try it again with my family. The brisket and smoked turkey was fresh, tender and tasty, absolutely perfect. While both sauces are delicious, the Competition Sauce is easily a new favorite; a perfect combination of sweet and tangy with just the right amount of kick. The loaded potato casserole is amazing, as is the cheesy corn and fried pickles. The owners are sweethearts. We will definitely make the 45 minute drive here again.

Catered Birthday Party
Needed catering for 15 people for a birthday party and Bruce and Maggie set us up with their amazing burnt ends, pulled pork and loaded potato casserole. They let me pick up the order 30 minutes before they opened so it’d be hot for the guests when our party started, and everyone wanted to know where this amazing bbq came from. Pro tip: Get the burnt ends…up there with Q39, BB’s Lawnside, or anywhere else in the metro. Food was a hit!
Catered Family Gathering
We have eaten at restaurant a couple times, but we used them first time for catering a family grad party at our home last week. My uncle went back 3 times for the beans. Also the BBQ most importantly very good. We had brisket, ribs, burnt ends, smoked chicken. I got rave reviews from all the family, especially loved the burnt ends/ribs. The price point is good also. Also the communication to coordinate the order was great and delivery right on time!!! Would definitely recommend them.
Catered Office Lunch
We had lunch catered to our office today and it was delicious!
I think we had a little bit of everything they offer; ribs, meatballs wrapped in bacon!, burnt ends, pulled pork, BBQ beans and potato casserole. I enjoyed everything – I cannot pick a favorite. The BBQ sauce was great; not too sweet, or hot, or vinegar-y… it was just right. We will order again!
Crazy Good Eats catered our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about them! Bruce and his crew make an incredible team! The food was OUTSTANDING, exactly the same as it was at our tasting. Bruce even went out of his way to accommodate some of our vegetarian guests, as well as one with food allergies. My dad also called him the day before the wedding begging him to bring some of the smoked ham dip he fell in love with at our tasting lol. Seriously, if you’re looking for BBQ, look no further! We’ll be frequent visitors from now on. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
CGE catered our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding for 200 plus people this summer. Despite being at a remote venue, they were right on time and the food was fresh and hot like they’d been smoking on site the entire day. They served burnt ends and smoked turkey. The burnt ends were excellent, moist, tender and tasty. The turkey was equally as good. I know, when you think turkey you think dry and over cooked. Not so with CGE’s turkey. Juicy and tender with the right balance of smoke to flavor ratio. Original sauces paired well with the meats. Now for the sides. Hot, great tasting cheesy potatoes and beans were a big hit all around. Aunt B’s spinach salad was cold and crisp and was the talk around all the tables. Coleslaw for the purists among us was as good as it gets. The corn bread was a real treat. Service was professional. Always went above and beyond for guests as they moved through the line. When the meal came to an end, the staff packed the leftovers up for us. Overall, they earned our five stars for delicious fresh food served by fine, friendly, folks!
